<p>The method relates information about an article (10) to a finder of the article. The article (10) may be an object, person, or animal. An identification device (12) which includes a telephone number (16), a code (18), and instructions for the finder to call the telephone number (16) is provided proximate the article (10). The telephone number (16) links the finder to a clearing house (20). The clearing house (20) prompts the finder to enter the code (18). Using the code (18), the clearing house (20) accesses information about the article (10) and forwards the call to the proper recipient of the call (24).</p> |
