The adjustment motor has a housing containing built-in electric and mechanical components. The housing is box-shaped and is formed of two identical housing halves (2). Recesses (12) are formed in the housing parts. At the inner sides of the walls the recesses (12) have ribs (13) as locking means, to fix the motor (1) and the transformers (3). The motor also has an operating axis (42) lying at right angles to the ribs (13) and having bearings (23). The housing may be made of a strong plastic. An electronic control unit (4) may be mounted in the housing. A worm gear (8) may be provided to drive a spindle (16). The housing may have eyes, slits, bores or forks as locking arrangements.
