Two-row ball-bearing assembly

The ball-bearing is of the two-row type. It may have separate inner races (1) for the two rows of balls (5), bearing on a stepped profile forming the outer diameter of a hollow or partially hollow hub. There is a large flange at the end of the larger outer diameter part, with holes for fastenings. The end of the smaller outer diameter part may be cold formed to make a flange (3) which holds the two inner races on the hub. Each of the inner races has a groove to accommodate the balls and there is a single outer race (4) with two grooves to accommodate the two rows of balls.
