A high strength unitized post and panel building system. The system uses pairs of vertical cured structural filled posts, preferably filled with cement (3), confined via a peripheral sheath (4), preferably of tubular polyvinylchloride pipe, and having a longitudinally extending central rebar (5a) fastened at the bottom to an attachment foot (7) for affixing the post to the building substructure (16), and at the top to a beam attachment bracket (1). A high compressive strength foam building panel (10) is interfittingly affixed between each post pair. The foam building panel has a top, a bottom, an interior side, an exterior side, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The first and second lateral edges each form a vertically extending kerf portion (12) which is complementary to the shape of the peripheral encapsulating jacket (4) around the vertical posts. Consequently, the foam building panel is securely and sealingly located between two adjacent vertical posts. For sealing against moisture and air leakage, it is preferable for the building panel to be adhesively bonded (13) to each of the vertical posts, when assembled. The complete assembly provides a high strength wall which is highly resistant to damage due to high wind or earth movement.
