The system is for fastening a built-in device e.g. a radio into an opening in a vehicle console or dashboard. At least one holding spring (1) is attached to the device. The spring extends at least partly transverse to the direction of insertion of the device, from the housing of the device. The spring is bent back in the direction of the housing. The spring (1) can be moved along the insertion direction of the device and can be stopped at any of a number of positions along the movement path. The system may have at least one elongate hole in the housing or in the spring. The hole extends in the direction of insertion and has at least one screw device which extends through the elongate hole.
