The composite profile consists of at least two metal profiles (2,4) joined by one or more insulating arms (6,8). The arms have at least one extra insulating body (10,12) at least partly filled the gap (14,16,18) near the insulating arms. The insulating body, made of thermosetting foam, is made of a different material from the insulating arm clipped or moulded onto it.
