The driving surface, which is impermeable to liquids, has a sealed underbed of neighbouring plates (4,4') laid with gaps between them. Profiles (2) are inserted into the gaps between the plates (4,4'). which have a bending elasticity across their longitudinal axes. The profiles (2) are of a corrosion-resistant load-bearing material such as a metal alloy, steel, fine steel, aluminium, a polymer with carbon fibre reinforcement, polyurethane or a hard plastics. A sealant, such as of silicon or polyurethane, is inserted between the profiles (2) and the plates (4,4').
