The cable duct (10) has a U-shaped base section (11) fitted with a cooperating cover (14). The ends of the sidewalls of the base section are provided with flanges for receiving support and fixing clips (20) provided by spring rings with 2 diametrically opposing sections engaged by the opposing flanges. The spring prongs may be oval-shaped with 2 pairs of engagement sections, separated from one another by different spacings.
