PURPOSE:To use a high voltage generator conveniently as an aid of a low voltage generator by a method wherein the low voltage generator for low voltage load and the high voltage generator for high voltage load are provided and the high voltage generator is equipped with a voltage regulator with which a low voltage value and a high voltage value can be set. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle with low voltage load 12 such as electronic devices and head lights and high voltage load 13 made of thin metal films for heating glass mounted, a low voltage generator 14 and a high voltage generator 15 driven by a common engine are provided. The low voltage generator 14 is equipped with a voltage regulator 16 for adjusting generated voltage Vact1 of the generator 14 by detecting voltage VB of a battery 11. The high voltage generator 15 is equipped with a voltage regulator 17 whose output voltage can be set to low voltage value Vlow which is lower than the above generated voltage Vact1 and higher than minimum voltage for charging the battery 11 and to high voltage value Vhigh, and this is switched over by a switch 18 according to operation status of the high voltage load 13. |
