FASTENING TAB

The fastening tab 22 includes a manufacturers bond end 24 attachable to a disposable absorbent product, and a users end 26. The user's end includes a mechanical fastener component 32 and is configured to have a disengagement strength which is greater (by at least 1.5:1) than that of a tab of simple rectangular outline. A number of alternative configurations are disclosed. Also disclosed are the results of tests carried out on example tabs of specified materials, dimensions and shapes.
