PURPOSE:To enhance the sensitivity of the photosensitive body by incorporating specific polycyclic quinone pigments as a charge generating material into a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of the polycyclic quinone compds. which are subjected to an adsorption treatment by an acid (e.g. trifluoroacetic acid) and are expressed by formulas I, II and III are incorporated into the charge transfer layer of the laminated type photosensitive body. In formula, R denotes halogen, nitro, cyano, acyl, (subtd.) alkyl, etc.; (n) denotes 0 to 4; (m) denotes 0 to 5. The charge transfer layer is formed by applying a liquid dispersion obtd. by dispersing the pigments expressed by formulas into a soln. of a binder (e.g. polyvinyl butyral) on the photosensitive body and the charge generating layer is formed by dissolving a charge transfer material such as diamine compd. into a soln. of a binder (e.g. polycarbonate Z) and applying the soln. thereon. |
