PURPOSE:To regulate a picture forming process when a paper passes a picture processing part by providing a picture processing stop control means for detecting a paper of an intermediate tray runs onto a stopper and for returning it to the intermediate tray again. CONSTITUTION:When a part of a paper P runs onto the stopper 72 from the intermediate tray 6, a microswitch 75 detects it; in response to the detected signal, a CPU 90 drives a paper feeding and carrying clutches, thereby driving a paper refeeding roller 73, carrying rollers 43, 47 and 74, a carrying belt 45, a carrying roller 51, etc.; a branch solenoid is also driven, so that a branch claw 49 is turned to the position where first and second paper carrying parts 5 are energized, and a guide plate 53 is turned to the position where the paper is fed to the tray 6. At the same time, the potential of an electrifying charger 32 is controlled to stop electrifying the surface of a photosensitive drum 31. Consequently, the paper P, which runs onto the stopper 72, is returned to the intermediate tray 6 without a picture being formed at the picture processing part 3. This prevents a jam of papers and overlapping carry in a paper refeeding part in a subsequent picture formation. |
