PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnetic hazard preventing device for a transmission line by which an object can be protected surely at low facility cost and power loss. CONSTITUTION:The electromanetic hazard preventing device comprises a supporting pole 14, i.e., a power pole of a distribution line for general consumers, standing closely to a housing 12 to be protected while being spaced apart horizontally from a transmission line 10, a wire 16 stretched across a pair of supporting poles 14 between the upper end parts thereof, an underground wire 18 lain in parallel with the wire 16, wherein the wire 16 is connected, at the opposite ends 16a, 16a thereof, with the opposite ends 18a, 18a of the underground wire 18. The electromagnetic hazard preventing device further comprises an earth connection wire 21 forming a loop 20 along with the wires 16, 18, and a section 22 for feeding a current to the loop 20 in order to generate a field for cancelling the field generated from the transmission line 10 thus eliminating the adverse effect thereof on the housing 12 to be protected. |
