PURPOSE:To enhance the appearance of a variable color head lamp for automobile by providing an arm with a reflecting mirror which reflects light from a position lamp toward a mainlamp filter and converts the light to the same color as that of light from a main lamp. CONSTITUTION:Light from a main lamp 13 is converted to yellow color via a mainlamp filter 21, reflected by a reflector 15 and allowed to go out. Simultaneously, light from the position lamp 14 is converged toward the mainlamp filter 21 and reflected via a reflecting mirror 23 and is converted to the same color as that of light from the main lamp 23 and caused to go out. Thus light of the same color is caused to go out from the same unit and so the appearance of the lamp is enhanced.
