PURPOSE:To detect a sound generation channel in a short time without any variance in detection time by providing a means wherein channel information indicating a sound channel for which a key code is assigned is stored corresponding to the key code. CONSTITUTION:A musical sound signal generation part 7 has (n) sound generation channels, and key codes assigned to respective keys of a keyboard part 1 are assigned selectively to the sound generation channels to generate a musical sound signal. A data and working RAM 6 is provided with an assignment table ASTBNL and an arrangement table ARTBL and the ASTBL is a means wherein the key codes assigned to the sound generation channels are stored corresponding to the sound generation channels and the ARTBL is a means wherein channel information indicating the sound generation channels for which the key codes are assigned are stored corresponding to the respective key codes. Consequently, the ARTBL is referred to according to the key code of an operated key to detect the sound generation channel for which the key code is assigned immediately. |
