<p>The ball and socket joint body (3, 19) comprises a transverse passage (5, 18, 20) with respect to the means of coupling (1, 2) of the cable with the terminal which forms two reciprocally opposed inlet mouths (A1-B1, A2-B2, A3-B3, A4-B4) of freely choosable alternative use, and a central chamber (12, 17, 31, 34), for housing a ball (13), with elastically deformable retaining and seat means. According to one mode of embodiment, the retaining and seat means comprise a sleeve (6) provided with perimetral projections (7); according to another mode, a first shock-absorbing sleeve (14) and a second sleeve (15) provided with coplanar sectoral projections (16); according to another mode, two "U"-shaped springs (22); and according to another mode, a sleeve (32) and two "U" shaped springs (22) which traverse it.
