PURPOSE:To improve storage stability of a silver halide photographic sensitive material by treating a silver halide emulsion with a porous adsorbent in a process for preparing the silver halide emulsion. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion is treated with the porous adsorbent, such as activated carbon, activated alumina, activated clay, silica type adsorbent, or zeolite type adsorbent, batchwise or continuously, before coating a support with the emulsion of silver halide, such as silver bromide, silver iodobromide, or silver iodochlorobromide, is prepared, thus permitting nonreacted chemical sensitizer and sensitizing adjuvant to be removed by said treatment using said adsorbent, accordingly, the silver halide photographic sensitive material to be enhanced in storage stability. |
