SOLUTION: The outer face and/or inner face of a pyrolytic boron nitride substrate is entirely or partially coated with a radiant heat absorbing layer and the outermost layer and/or innermost layer is coated with an insulating layer or a protective layer to obtain the objective pyrolytic boron nitride vessel. The average peak-to-valley interval of the surface roughness of each of the substrate and the radiant heat absorbing layer is 0.002-0.1mm and the mix. height of the roughness is >=10μm.
