The actuator incorporates a releasable transmission device (20) formed preferably by an elbow-joint lever which is actuated by a safety lever (31) able to detect the position of the emergency stop button (15). The starting rocker (16) and the stopping rocker (17) operate alternately. The elbow-joint lever connects the starting button (14) to the rocker (16). The safety lever is pivoted about an axis (X3) parallel to those (X1,X2) of the buttons, and contacted by the elbow joint (25).
