PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain polarizing ability even though a polarizing layer is incorporated, to view a stereoscopic picture by many people by means of a pair of less expensive and light polarizing glasses, and to eliminate cross talk occurring in accordance with the movement of the head of an observer so as to observe a good stereoscopic picture. SOLUTION: The polarizing layer 102a for a right eye and the polarizing layer 102b for a left eye are formed on a glass substrate 101a, and a transference electrode 104a is formed on the layers 102a and 102b in contact with a liquid crystal layer 107. A color filter 105, the polarizing layer 106a for the right eye and the polarizing layer 106b for the left eye are formed on the other glass substrate 101b, and the transference electrode 104b is formed on the layers 102a and 102b in contact with the layer 107. |
