PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grating forming device having light quantity distribution by controlling the density of light quantity in a photosensitive optical waveguide. SOLUTION: In this device where light 2 from a light source 1 is allowed to scan, and the density of light quantity irradiating a photosensitive optical fiber 8 is changed in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 8, so that the core part of optical fiber 8 has the light quantity distribution; the density of the irradiating light quantity is controlled by allowing the light 2 passing through a condensing lens 3 to scan. A reflection mirror 4 is attached to a slide member 5 moving along the optical axis of the light source 1 by a driving device 6 and moved in the optical axis direction, so that the optical fiber 8 is irradiated with the light 2 which is made to scan through a phase mask 7. |
