PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an oxide superconducting laminated body in which the generation of strains and cracks is suppressed by reducing the difference in thermal expansion between a metallic base material and the oxide superconducting body. SOLUTION: In an oxide superconducting laminated body in which a nonsuperconducting layer is formed on a metallic base material, and furthermore, an oxide superconducting layer and a nonsuperconducting layer are alternately laminated, the linear expansion coefficientαs at 30 deg.C of the oxide superconducting layer, the volume Vs of the oxide superconducting layer, the linear expansion coefficient 'n at 30 deg.C of the nonsuperconducting layer, the volume Vn of the nonsuperconducting layer and the linear expansion coefficientαm at 30 deg.C of the metallic base material lie in the relations shown by the inequality.
