摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, light, high resolution and inexpensive color stereoscopic image display device with simple constitution by synchronizing a first liquid crystal display device with a second liquid crystal display device and displaying a parallel image. SOLUTION: The first liquid crystal display device 5a and the second liquid crystal display device 5b repeat respectively that respective parallax images decided into at least two wavelength bands of color component parallax images are displayed in a prescribed order and in time division. Then, at least a piece of wavelength band variable filters 7a, 7b transmits light of the wavelength band through to which a color component beings among first luminous flux synchronized with the color component parallax image display of the first parallax image. Further, it transmits the light of the wavelength band through to which the color component belongs among second luminous flux synchronized with the color component parallax image display of the second parallax image. This, since left/right parallax images are projected while changing polarization state, respectively independently and in high speed time division, an observer can observe a full color stereoscopic image by using polarization glasses.
