PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which smoothly forms a plurality of satisfactory-reproducibility images in a single image-forming operation. SOLUTION: Processing parts consisting of electrifying chargers 30a and 30b, developing units 31 a and 31b, and electrifying chargers 32a and 32b are disposed corresponding to image forming positions Sa and Sb on a photoreceptor drum 27 so as to be operable independently from each other. Also, either one of the processing parts which is not required for image formation is not operated. Writing into each of the image forming positions Sa and Sb on the photoreceptor 27 with laser beams is started with timing from a point in time that SOS sensors 43a and 43b each detect the corresponding laser beams. Further, AIDC sensors SE1a and 1b, jam detection sensors SE2a and 2b and 3a and 3b are also provided corresponding to the image forming positions, on the front and rear sides, and they perform detecting operations independently from each other, and either one of each pair which is not required for image formation is not operated. |
