PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease errors in writing and reading of information with laser light by applying a coating liquid on the outside area from the inner annular groove when an intermediate layer is formed by spin coating method. SOLUTION: This information recording medium is produced by forming an intermediate layer 35 and a metal recording layer 34 on the surface of a plastic substrate 33 having inner annular groove 32 obtd. by injection molding. The intermediate layer 35 is formed by applying a coating material on the outside area from the inner annular groove 32 on the plastic substrate 33 by spin coating method. Thereby, such a problem can be prevented that a coating liquid to form an intermediate layer applied on the center area of a substrate 33 is forced back by the wall in the outer side of the inner annular groove 32 to cause turbulence in the flow in the coating liquid and to cause irregular state of coating in the intermediate layer 35. |
