PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sonic medium for a probe excellent in acoustic performance and adaptability to biological shape. SOLUTION: A sonic medium 2 for a probe is obtained by forming a composition comprising a high molecular weight rubber and a low molecular weight rubber as a plasticizer added thereto and by cross-linking it, thereby giving flexibility to the sonic medium 2, therefore a material having a good adaptability to biological shape and excellent acoustic property can be selected. And also the material excellent in acoustic impedance and damping property can be attained. Also the flexible rubber is attached to the top of the sonic medium 2 and a hard rubber is mounted to the fixing part of the probe 1, thereby besides the above-mentioned effects, the operativity on demounting can be improved. |
