PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bench grinder work rest adjusting device capable of facilely adjusting the gap between a grindstone and a work rest. SOLUTION: A work rest 21 including a slot into which a bolt 26 is inserted is provided between a cover 12 covering a part of a bench grinder grindstone 11 and a retaining member 23 which is fitted to the cover 12 through the bolt 26 in a horizontally movable manner to the periphery of the grindstone 11 and an adjusting screw 34, whose one side is engaged with the work rest 12 in the axial direction and the other side is screwed to the retaining member 23, is fitted to the work rest 12.
