<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact drum brake capable of preventing deterioration of the operation feeling by the play of a brake operator in a multiple input brake, facilitating addition of the braking force by two brake operators, and being stored in a wheel of small diameter. SOLUTION: A wedge-shaped cam plate 11, a first cylindrical cam shaft 12, and a second small diameter cam shaft 13 are provided on a mechanical actuator 7. A guide part is provided on an inner end of the first cam shaft, and a first brake arm 14 is fixed to an outer end side. An inversely-tapered head part 16 is provided on an inner end of the second cam shaft, and a second brake arm 15 is fixed to the outer end side. A head part 16 of the second cam shaft is arranged in the guide groove in the guide part, and an inner cam surface 11b of the cam plate 11 is supported by an outer circumferential surface of the head part 16, and end parts 4d, 5d of a brake shoe are supported by an outer cam surface 11a. A thrust converting means comprising a male screw 13b and a female screw 2b is provided on the outer end of the second cam shaft.</p> |
