PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive compsn. excellent in surface stickiness, adhesive power, and resistances to heat, moisture, and creep by mixing an acrylic polymer with a specified amt. of a specific rosin-base tackifying resin, a curative, and an org. solvent. SOLUTION: A hundred (100) pts.wt. acrylic copolymer (e.g. a butyl acrylate/ acrylic acid/2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate terpolymer) is mixed with 10-40 pts.wt. rosin-base tackifying resin having a hydroxyl value of 60-100 or an acid value of 30-50, a curative (e.g. tetractylene glycol titanate), and an org. solvent (e.g. toluene) to give a self-adhesive compsn., which forms a dried film having a glass transition point of -20 to 15 deg.C, an elastic modulus at 150 deg.C of 1×10<5> dyn/ cm<2> or higher, and a loss tangent of 0.5 or lower. The joint use of a terpene- phenol resin with the rosin-base tackifying resin can greatly improve the wet heat resistance and adhesive power of the compsn.
