PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch knob in which, even if a cam mechanism is provided on the back of a control part, the cam mechanism does not make illuminance on a display part nonuniform and which has a small number of part items and can maintain the quality of its configuration over a long period. SOLUTION: This knob 1 has a control part 2, a cam mechanism 3, a drive mechanism 4, a steel ball 5, and a spring 6. The cam mechanism 3 made from a translucent material is molded by insertion into the control part 2 made from a nontranslucent material. A part of the cam mechanism 3 is formed into a display part 31, and a projection 32 having a predetermined configuration is formed on the display part 31 and exposed from the control part 2.
