PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve, in particular, the attractive surface appearance in a bent part as well as the heat resistance of a high strength beryllium-copper alloy as a conductive spring material, while securing various required characteristics. SOLUTION: This alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.5-1.5% Be, 0.3-1.5% of either or both of Ni and Co, 0.5-2.5% of either or both of Si and Al, and the balance essentially Cu. Moreover, this alloy has 50-150μm average crystalline grain size. Further, as intermetallic compounds, NiBe or/and CoBe are incorporated by 0.20-0.90wt.% into this alloy so that at least 45% or more of them are in the form of fine grains of <=0.1μm grain size.
