PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information carrier capable of substantially and equally reading/writing the information stored on at least two boundaries of a solid material. SOLUTION: An information carrier is provided with at least two boundaries 30 , 30 of a solid material, information is given or able to be given to the boundaries 30 , 30 and the information is stored by locally modulating at least one characteristic of the solid material. The information carrier is also provided with an intermediate layer 3 between the boundaries 30 , 30 . the intermediate layer 3 makes electromagnetic radiation transmit through and includes a dielectric layer 1 and a spacer layer 5. Two boundaries 30 , 30 are formed by both material 20 and layer 1, and both material 2u and layer 5, respectively. |
