PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain unnecessary torque transmission in starting by installing a labyrinth mechanism so that the inner peripheral boundary of fluid may be positioned outward in the radial direction from the labyrinth mechanism when a shaft is rotated in a state where a valve closes a passage and also when fluid in a first chamber is scattered outward in the radial direction by centrifugal force. SOLUTION: Since fluid F in a rotor chamber R1 is scattered outward in the radial direction by centrifugal force when a shaft 11 is rotated after an engine is started and when a rotor 14 is rotated, a labyrinth mechanism L is so positioned that the inner peripheral boundary of fluid may be positioned outward in the radial direction from the labyrinth mechanism L when the rotor 11 is rotated and al-so when fluid in the rotor chamber R1 is scattered outward in the radial direction by centrifugal force. Since fluid is not in the labyrinth mechanism L in the rotation in the low temperature, shearing force to be generated between the rotor 14 and a housing 12 is small, and the torque transmitting capability from the rotor 14 to the housing 12 is decreased. Therefore, unnecessary torque transmission in starting is restrained, and the following turning phenomenon can be eliminated. |
