PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a candle to burn out roughly completely without falling down by continuously arranging a funnel shaped candle receiver having an engagement hole for engaging a candle base part and made of good heat conductive at its upper edge. SOLUTION: This candlestick is constituted by a sleeve 20 and a base 30. The sleeve 20 has an engagement hole 21 into which the base of the candle is to be engaged and a candle receiver 22 continuously arranged at the upper edge thereof. The diameter of the hole 21 is of size of which the candle can be smoothly inserted and free of rocking. The receiver 22 has a taper-shaped formed slope 23, and it is preferable that a diameter D of an upper edge 25 on the slope 23 is approx. twice as large as the specified candle diameter. A taper angleθof the slope 23 is set at a sufficiently small angle so that a molten candle flows into the hole 21 with its self weight and a height H thereof is set to an angle being not so high. Any kind of flame-retardant material to be used for sleeve 20 can be used, however, at least better thermal conductive material is used for the receiver 22.
