PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner that is capable of demonstrating an excellent sucking and removing performance, as well as improving the initial performance, for a long time regardless of the humidity (dryness) of the air to be cleaned, and that is also adaptable to different environment in which it is used. SOLUTION: The air cleaner uses as a filter 2 an adsorbing material mainly composed of an activated carbon such that an acid substance, basic substance or oxidizing agent, or else an oxidizing agent with an acid substance or with a basic substance is stuck in 1-30 pts.wt. to the activated carbon having pores with a 10-100Å diameter and with a capacity of 0.25-1.1cc/g. In addition, a humidifying means 3 is formed which supplies 0.5-1 moisture content to the adsorption filter 2 or which adjusts the humidity of uncleaned air to be in a range of 40-85%. |
