PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an unnecessary increase in the volume of an absorbing member and maintain the relation of a relative position between the absorbing member and a wiping member by forming a fixed part for the absorbing member into a box shape opening to the side of a printing face, making the size of the absorbing member equal to or larger than the inner size of the box-shaped fixed part and inserting the absorbing member into the fixed part under pressure to be secured thereinto. SOLUTION: A fixed part 6 for an absorbing member 7, which is provided to an ink-jet recording unit 1, is a box-shaped member having a shape adjusted to a prismatic shape of the absorbing member 7 and opens to the side of a printing face. The relation between the inner sizes 6x, 6y of the fixed part 6 and the sizes 7x, 7y of the absorbing member, which correspond thereto, is set to 7x>=6x and 7y>=6y. The absorbing member 7 is formed of a material having elasticity and is inserted under pressure into the fixed part to be assembled. Further, the relation between the depth size 6z of the fixed part 6 and the height size 7z of the absorbing member is set to 7z>6z. The absorbing member 7 is projected from the fixed part 6, and it is desirable that its difference is set to some 1.5mm for allowing a wiping member to abut against the absorbing member. As a result, the absorbing member can be fixed reliably without causing the deviation of its position. |
