PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which requires a small plugging force and a large unplugging force by enhancing the spring property of a contact in the direction in which it is plugged and unplugged. SOLUTION: This connector has a socket 1 and a header 2 provided at their respective main bodies 11, 21 with a contact 12 and a post 22, respectively, from which connections 12a, 22a connected to a pair of printed boards are brought out and which have respective contact parts 12d, 22b where they are brought into contact as the contact is plugged into and unplugged from the post, the contact 12 being capable of deflecting in the plugging/unplugging direction and in a direction perpendicular to that direction and having a rounded part 12c between the connection 12a and the contact part 12d. In this case, the contact 12 is so formed that the end of the contact part 12d abuts to the main body 11 so that it is displaced and deflected in the perpendicular direction. |
