<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable optimum air purification operation suitable for the pollution state of air by providing a fan type air purification means and an ionic type air purification means and controlling driving of the respective air purification means in accordance with the output sent from an air pollution detection means. SOLUTION: The air cleaner is equipped with a fan type air purification means in which a fan 8 rotated by a motor 6 fitted in the body 1 is provided and the space before a middle frame 5 is appropriated for the holding space of a first dust collection part 11 consisting of an electret filter 15 and a deodorization filter 16. Further, the air cleaner is equipped with an ionic type air purification means in which a discharge electrode 23 impressing negative high voltage and a counter electrode 26 are fitted in the inside of the front case 2 of the body 1 and the outside air is sucked by ionic wind generated therein and passed through a second dust collection part 29 to remove dust. When dirt is extreme, air purification is performed with high efficiency in the fan type air purification means. When dirt is slight, operation is silently performed with a little power consumption through the ionic type air purification means.</p> |
