PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable fixing of foreign matters such as burrs left in a header pipe within the pipe during the brazing operation by setting the cladding ratio of the brazing filler metal to be cladded to each surface of a core of the header pipe on the inner side to be smaller than that on the outer side. SOLUTION: A header pipe of a heat exchanger is made of double-side clad material 11. The double-side clad material 11 is of three-layer structure of a core 12, a clad brazing filler metal 13 on the inner surface side, and a clad brazing filler metal 14 on the outer surface side. The clad ratio of the brazing filler metal 13 on the inner side is set in the range of 3-7% to the total thickness of the double-side clad plate 11, the clad ratio of the brazing filler metal 14 on the outer side is set in the range of 7-15%, and the clad ratio of the inner side is smaller than that of the outer side. The quantity required for the brazing with a heat transfer pipe is secured on the inner side of the pipe, and residual foreign matters such as chips in the pipe are fixed in the pipe during the brazing operation to prevent generation of clogging and troubles. |
