PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high the speed of extraction of a connected region of a B-scope image of a reflection echo, to allow omission of data on the reflection echo as occasion demands and to execute determination of a flaw of a rail at a high speed and accurately. SOLUTION: This equipment has an ultrasonic probe 11, an ultrasonic flaw detector 12, a B-scope image processor 13 and a display device 14. Every time when a reflection echo is detected, the position of the detected reflection echo on a B-scope image is calculated. When the condition that a distance between the position of the detected reflection echo on the B-scope image and the position on the B-scope image of the reflection echo to which an allocation number already used is allocated last is in a prescribed range is established, the allocation number already used is allocated to the detected reflection echo. In the case when the allocation number already used can not be allocated to the detected reflection echo according to this condition, an unused allocation number is allocated to the detected reflection echo. |
