<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the physical properties of ink by suppressing the generation of fungi and bacteria during use or long-term storage without adding an expensive antifungal sterilizing agent to ink. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 6 consists of a container case 7 integrally molded along with a lower protruding part (supply port), the lid 8 for the supply port, a seal member 9, a filter 10, an electrode pin 11, sponge 12 and a lid 13. The sponge 12 is the flexible porous material housed in the internal space of the container case 7 to hold ink. A material containing copper 8-oxyquinoline is used in either one of the container case 7 and the sponge 12. By this constitution, aceptic action and sterilizing action are provided to the ink being in contact with the container case 7 or the sponge 12 to prevent the generation of fungi or various bacteria within ink.</p> |
