The dial gauge has a movable spindle (16A) attached to main body (12) of a case (11) inside which a digital indicator (14) is provided at the display surface orthogonally. A moving member (31) is provided at the orthogonal direction to the movement direction of the spindle. A conversion mechanism (53) which converts the rotational movement of the spindle to orthogonal movement of the moving member and is connected between the spindle and the moving member. A digital signal detector (28) provided above the moving member detects the orthogonal movement of the moving member and converts it as an electric signal. The digital indicator displays the value based on the electric signal.
