The system has at least one magnetic rotating part (10), which has n magnetic poles in a circumferential direction, with two magnetic field sensors (11, 12) fixed opposite the magnetic rotating part. The second field sensor (12) compared to the first field sensor (11), is displaced about an angle (a) in a rotational direction. There are n possible angles (a) established corresponding to the equation: a = (180 degrees /n) + (360 degrees /n).x (plus/minus) f. (x) is a selectable whole number from zero to n - 1. (f) gives a tolerance angle, which is considerably smaller than the angle (a). A Hall sensor is used as a magnetic field sensor. An adjusting drive is included in the system.
