The products can be of different size, weight and destination and pass by a scanner (13) that identifies the product (15) by the bar code labels attached to them, their size and position on the conveyor. The scanner also controls one or more telescopic 'sorters' (11) and, when a product (15) on the conveyor (12) approaches the destination (14) desired, the activated telescopic sorter moves out, pushing the product from the conveyor and into the 'destination'.
