Stripping old labels off used plastics bottles

The knife may be used to cut old labels off plastics bottles. The knife blade (5) is pivoted (37) at the end of a swinging arm and coming into contact with the label at two separated points (19,21). There is a concave curved region between them. There is a convex cutting edge (33) formed in the edge of a thin blade (31) held in the knife assembly. It may be held between two cheek pieces (25). The knife may be moved upwards, with the sharp edge of the top contact point digging under the label, lifting it and bringing it into contact with the knife blade.
