The parking/storage places (1) are arranged round a conveyor (2) with a central axis (4) and at least one transfer appliance (3) which takes a rectangular-sectioned object, especially vehicle, from an entry part (5) and places it on a storage place, or vice versa. The transfer appliances are at a tangent to one or more circles concentric with the central axis. The storage places at least are flush with the transfer appliance, and are on several levels. The conveyor is guided along a central mast (7). Each vehicle is delivered to the discharge area (6) facing in the direction of travel.
