Welding of plastics pipe end

The welded joint (5), between two ends of plastics wound pipes, has at least one heated wire (6) and a welding plastics mass (7), pref. of a rubber elastic polyethylene, between the inserted pipe end (3) and the sleeve pipe end (4). The heated wire (6) brings the plastics mass (7) to the welding temp. to give a cross linked inner bond between the two ends (3,4) of the pipes (1,2).
