<p>This invention is a syringe type apparatus which includes a unique fill assembly (18) for use in controllably injecting medicinal fluids into a patient. The filling assembly (18) includes a pre-filled vial (24) which is partially received within a novel adapter assembly (26) that functions to operably couple the pre-filled vial (24) with the syringe assembly (16) of the apparatus. The body of the pre-filled vial (24) is surrounded by a protective covering until immediately prior to mating the assembly with the syringe assembly (16).</p> |
