A clutch mechanism comprising a unitary assembly of a cover (8), a diaphragm (7), a pressure plate (6) and resilient hook members (9) coupling the diaphragm (7) to the pressure plate (6). The hook members (9) each comprise a portion which extends around the edge of the diaphragm (7) and includes a hole (97) in the top of said portion for receiving the head of a fastening element (12) fastening each member to the pressure plate (6).
