A filter unit (4) for use in a rotary disc filter comprises a frame (1), which defines a hole, and a filter cloth (3), which extends in the hole and which is connected to the frame. According to the invention an attachment strip (5) of a flexible stitchable material extends along the frame and is wrapped around latter, and the filter cloth is united with the attachment strip by means of at least one thread seam (6, 7).
